Fossil is a mixed media work created on metal plates through chemical processes that generate rust. Chemical liquids are poured onto the surface, allowing oxidation to form images in an unpredictable and natural way. As corrosion unfolds, bone-like forms gradually emerge, resembling a spine, snake, or fossilized remains of a mythical creature. Rather than beginning with a fixed composition, the artist responds to the evolving textures and shapes produced by rust. The work develops through a dialogue between human intuition and material agency, where erosion, time, and imagination co-create the image.
