Immobilize is a dual-channel video work presented in a continuous loop. Each channel features an AI-generated 3D horse animated using artificial intelligence software. Due to an error in the animation process, the orientation of the horse’s head and tail is reversed. Although the movement of the surrounding environment creates the illusion of forward motion, the horse itself neither advances nor retreats, remaining fixed in place. By foregrounding a technological malfunction, the work transforms error into structure, reflecting on automation and assumptions of progress. The looping format reinforces a suspended state in which movement and stasis coexist without resolution.
