Webbing
Mixed media on fabric and plastic ants

Webbing is a site-responsive installation made from lightweight fabric and plastic ants. The fabric is bleached to become translucent and fragile, then sewn into spiral patterns and folded to create tension and flow. Tears and holes are introduced, allowing the surface to breathe and collapse. Thin strings extend from the corners, densely threaded with red plastic ants that appear to enter and exit the fabric. Suspended in space, the work moves gently with air currents, hovering between order and disorder, construction and decay, suggesting a vulnerable system shaped by motion, fragility, and collective activity.
